Raised in Ibadan, he spent his childhood under the care of his grandfather, whose nurturing influence and early exposure to creativity helped solidify his artistic path. As a youth, Omofemi hawked beer in local markets, using savings to buy drawing books, a humble beginning that fueled his passion and shaped his visual language. He later received informal mentorship from a local artist and went on to hone his skills, earning both a National Diploma (2012) and a Higher National Diploma in Painting (2015) from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. Omofemi’s paintings are defined by a vibrant palette inspired by pop art, textured overtones, Afrocentric aesthetics, and a deep reverence for his cultural roots. He strives not merely to depict his subjects, but to capture their essence, imbuing his portraits with humanity, identity, nostalgia, and a sense of pride. His growing international acclaim includes exhibitions across Nigeria, Italy, Ghana, Belgium, and the UK.
